How many really true, good friends do you have?

How many friends do you have that allow you to cry on their shoulder when things are bad?

How many friends do you have that tell you when you are acting like an ass?

How many friends do you have that will come over and clean your house when you are sick as a dog?

These are the people who you can call at 3 am. and talk to.

I have two, maybe three. These gals are the best people to talk to at any time. However, we live thousands of miles apart. We chat very seldom, but I know they are there for me if I need them.

They call me every once in a while when something is wrong or they have some super news to share. I always come away feeling fulfilled when I talk to them.

I have four or five really good friends that would go to the ends of the earth for me. I have no idea where I'd be today without them.....and yes, they will kick my butt when I'm being stupid, thank God!

2 or 3. My oldest pal wasn't even phased when my foster son whacked her kid over the head with a brick trowel when she was looking after him for me to give me some respite. Just called and asked me to collect him as she had to take her son to the hospital for stitches. My boy showed no remorse at all - disturbing - and was irritated that I made him clean up the blood.
And then there is my hubby ( awwww ) what a star!

I have just a couple friends like that locally and a few on the other side of the country. My best friend though is my husband. And now that my daughters are adults they are very good friends too. All my friends, especially my daughters, are very good at telling me when I'm doing something stupid. That's what they do best.

I hear you Dorothy. They are also good at bringing up stupid things you did in the past as well. My son did this the other day. I could whack that kid. :bg:

I had two friend that were just like sisters to me and one died in January of cancer and my other best friend passed away Wed after a two month bout with cancer. We were like the three muskateers. Both were so young too. I feel lost without them . My hubby is my best friend but there are things you can't tell him that I could tell the girls. Even my sisters are not as close to me as my friends were.

Anniebelle, sorry to hear that. You will be fine, but it is very hard to take sometimes.
