A Cat died and went to heaven. God met her at the
golden gate and said, "You have been a good cat all of
these years. Anything you want is yours for the
asking."

"The cat thought a minute and then said, "All my
life I lived on a farm and slept on hard wooden
floors. I would like a real fluffy pillow to sleep
on."

God said, "Say no more." Instantly the cat had a huge
fluffy pillow.
A few days later, six mice were killed in an accident
and they all went to heaven at the same time. God met
the mice at the gates of heaven with the same offer
that he made the cat. The mice said, "Well we have
had to run all of our lives, from cats, dogs and even people > with
brooms. If we could just have some little roller skates
we would never have to run again."

God answered, It is done."

All the mice had beautiful little roller skates. About a week
later God decided to check on the cat. He found her sound asleep on her
fluffy pillow.. God gently awakened the cat
and asked, "Is every thing OK? How have you been doing?
Are you happy?"

The cat replied, "Oh it is wonderful. I have never
been so happy in my life. My pillow is so fluffy and
those little meals on wheels you have been sending
over are delicious.
So much Fabric, so little time.

I love it. I could only wish that mine would kill them. She brings them to me to play with. she never kills them.

SHe sleeps behind my machine. and if she wants me to stop she puts her paw on my hand with this look. she does like to jump on the boys from high places.
The more you disaprove, the more fun I am having!

Mine is depopulating the area of rabbits. He will bring home and eat 4/5 baby bunnies a week. Occasionally we find an ear, or a nose but normally a variety of organs arranged in a sort of modern art fashion down the side passage. yerch!
He is supposed to be on a restricted diet (!) for urinary problems and we have to feed him incredibly expensive food. How do you tell a cat anything?
He like to type and prefers to sleep in the office during thunderstorms/fireworks.
love and kisses, Jan

My babies would probably ask to sleep on the hard floors – they are so spoilt!
SHE (Queen MissMinx) sleeps in my arms and HE (Mr. Sam) sleeps with DH, both under duna! SHE goes as SHE pleases (has more sense), HE is homebound (too silly for words)! And I love them to bits!   :dave:

I also have three cats who think they run the house. (No, they know they run the house!) They sleep wherever they want and everybody seems to cater to them. They're also bringing home mice, squirrels, and birds and leaving parts of them all over my walkway. But I love them!

I love that one!:bluesmile

I found a little "present" from one of my cats this morning on the porch. A half eaten mouse (or mole or something small and furry). Ewwwwwww! I'm sure the cat thought it was a nice gift.:nervous:

yes, my dd bragged that they were just trying to be nice to us and share.
My kids refer to one of our cats as "Her Majesty". She does think she's rules the people here. DD waits on her like a servant.

I read this one and I have to agree-
Dogs think they are human, cats think they are Gods.:bluewink:

Excuse me, but my dog has 2 servants that cater to her every whim, i.e., walking, eating, going for a ride, playing with squeaky toys, giving treats, etc. She now occupies the center of a king size bed every night. LOL

My female cat is not terribly affectionate, but she likes to be in the room where I am (right now, she's sleeping on my day planner next to the computer). She is also the sewing room guard cat. She used to sit behind the machine, but the new configuration of the room makes that impossible, so she perches herself on the twin bed I have in the room. As soon as our poor unsuspecting male cat sticks his head in the door she stands up and lets him have it. She's not too crazy about it when my husband comes in either. She gives him the evil eye. She doesn't mind DD's visits. Kitty must think the sewing room is a progesterone-only zone.
She even came in there with me last week when I painted the room. Ruffled up the plastic on the floor a bit and swished her tail in the wet paint. Typical cat stuff.
