What is everyone doing for Father's Day? We are going to have the grown kids over today and that will be about it. Raining cats and dogs here. We all just kind of hibernate until the sun decides to shine again. MaryW

My husband has to work, but I did make him a big breakfast(let him pick what he wanted), and while he's at work I'll be baking him a cake and letting my 4 yo help decorate it. He always seems to pile most of the sprinkles in the middle but he enjoys helping :o) Leticia |

My dh went out and bought himself a new Ford Explorer for father's day. Actually he had to turn in his leased truck so he decided to buy another vehicle instead of leasing again. He's a pretty happy camper today, I think. Patsy Patsy

I cooked my husband a nice big breakfast and we all went to church together. It's raining here too, so we're just spending the afternoon in the house. |

We ran away for the weekend and left the girls to fend for themselves. i bought him a book about the conquest of everest with lots of lovely origonal photos ( he's been to himalayas and loves photography) Big girlie bought him Roger Rabbit DVD and small girlie bought choccie. The weather was fab - 27-28degrees c all weekend so we just sat around the caravan(trailer) reading/eating/drinking and walking around old suffolk villages. Saw a fab pub dating from 1450 - gorgeous and the beer good too! love and kisses, Jan

For Father's Day my hubby gave me my mother's day gift -- moving me into my new sewing room. I paid for him and the kid he mentors -- Big Brothers -- to go to the movies but I stayed home to sew in my new room. That was Saturday. Today I bought him a book and we went to see his mother to make sure she was alright since it is the first Father's Day since her husband died. One of two daughters called. Dorothy |

Talking about Chicken Pox, did anyone hear of the new medical problem? It's called Monkey Pox. It's being brought into the country via prairie dogs as pets, they come from Africa. Several cases have been cropping up in the US. It causes fever and flu like symphoms. Our fathers day was good. I baked my step Dad a Lemon Pie and my hubby breakfast and then we went riding out in the country all day. Nice quite day. The boys all called their Dad and wished him a Happy Day. Nice Susie |
