I have to make 4 valences with 17 meters of fabric. They are the kind that just drape over the rod. Each window is the same width, so can I just divide the fabric in 4 equal lengths and hem the sides? I noticed a pattern that said you have to angle the ends, would it matter if I just left them straight?

It will appear different when hanging off the rod.
