I read about all the different machines you guys have, and I want to buy them.

Mind you, I have 3 already. :nah:

I think I love machines as much as I love fabric.

I too have the addiciton but the only thing that keeps me from having too many machines is that I have no space. The only space I have is a sewing room that is 4 x 12 of my bed room. I have to walk sideways to get from the sewing table to the cutting table or walk on the bed.

I want the brother machines because of the disney designs. Not that I cant make my own it is just a want. A big WANT.
The more you disaprove, the more fun I am having!

I too love machines, I can't afford all the big ones but besides my two Bernina's, Singer and Singer featherweight. I collect antique toy sewing machines. I think I have almost a dozen now. They are smaller and therefore I can display them in a hutch I have. Machine collecting definately gets into your system like a disease! But its a good bug!

Mary,

I collect machines that I think are cute or original. Not an expert by any means. My husband often picks them up for me as gifts when he is traveling too. I got my 221 that way also. I have several different machines three from a german series that have fairy tales painted on them, I have the Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretal, and I forget at this moment what the other is. I have two very early singers, and the one that is a 1965, that my parents bought me at age six to learn to sew on. I have a few different german machines the oldest of which dates to 1865. All of them work which is more that I can say for today's toys. I bought my daughter a new toy singer about five years ago and it was horrible. Wouldn't sew anything. Ended up in the trash after a couple of attempts and she learned on my machine instead.
