Other than the obvious muggings or worse, here are mine: 1. Having my car break down in the middle of a bridge, over water. 2. Leaving my daughter at home alone. 3. Getting a positive mammogram result. 4. Swimming in the ocean and not being able to fight an undetow. Or, in the case of Hawaii, being attacked by something with sharp teeth, or stung by a jellyfish. 5. Public speaking 6. The first day of a new job. 7. Hearing about a family member getting killed in an accident. 8. The house burning down while I'm away (all those items that can't be replaced like photos, paid tax receipts) 9. Death 10. Flying |

I am deathly afraid of bridges, overpasses, skywalks, balconies, etc... Its not the height that bugs me it is the thought of falling. If something happened. Sherri My website

I'm quite sure my biggest fear is being trapped in a confined space. You see, I'm extremely claustrophobic. My doctor had to prescribe a large dose of valium for me to get my last MRI done and it was even what they call an open MRI -- open on all sides with just the scan machine itself right above you. I think I had about 20 miligrams of valium prior to doing it. I want to be cremated when I die because I can't stand the thought of being in a casket and having that lid shut on me. Patsy Patsy

My worst fear is to have to raise my 4 boys alone. I am also deathly affraid of the machines that they use to check your eyes. I am extremly clostaphobic. My next fear is my 13 yr old having a girlfriend and them coming home with the most fightening news that they are going to have a baby. 2 girls in my sons class at age 12 have had babies. Luckly he does not have a girl friend right now buttt..... 7th grade is only 5 days away. The more you disaprove, the more fun I am having!

I think my worst fear is something terrible happening to my DH, kids, or another close family member. Material things can be replaced. I'm afraid of lightening. DH makes me soooo mad when he won't come inside as soon as it starts lightening. He'll finish cutting grass, or whatever he's doing outside. He should take a hint from our dogs. Even they find shelter as soon as they hear thunder. He thinks it's funny when I make the kids get out of the pool when I hear thunder in the distance. |

Other then the usual fear of something happening to one of my children, grandchildren or hubby, I'm just like plrlegal, extremely claustrophic. I had the same "open" MRI (yeah right) and they filled me up with valium too. I had to have it done twice when they were looking for cause of brain pain (as I called it) and they put the round part about 1/4" from your face and tell you to relax because your arms are free - but they strap your face down first. not fun at all. I made my hubby and kids well aware that they better cremate me too because the thought of spending enternity buried gives me the shivers. I've decided to live forever - so far, so good.

I am deathly afaid of snakes 7 mice. My husband brings home snakes for the kids to watch. He works construction & sometimes it is move them or run over them so as often as he can he puts them in a bucket & brings them home. The kids watch them & feed them toads for a week or so & then they go to the woods or river & let them go. The last one he brought home had 43 babies. The kids with their cousins were outside at Midnight with flashlights playing withthem & naming them. I cringe just thinking about it. Barb Barb

Barb, I can't help my self, if I were you I'd cring just thinking about Christmas, school clothes and shopping for 6 kids. I think of the trouble I had with my 3. You must be good girl I would have been insane with more than what I had. LOL I'm afraid of losing a child or grandchild like most but my biggest daily fear is Lizards. We have camealians, little green ones that turn brown and also we have geckos, white ones and brown speckled ones. Those have just showed up here in the last 20 years or so. I think they came off of ships that unload cargo on the New Orleans riverfront. They are nasty little critters. Every now and then they get in the house and I have a heart attack until I either get the broom and kill them or find someone to catch them and throw them out. Creepy Susie |

My only fear is losing dad, my brother or the kids. I just adore them. Besides that, nothing much bothers me. Creatures are just what they are. I take things in stride and refuse to let things or people bother me in any way. Took me a while to reach that point but I think I'm finally there. As Donny said; it's pretty much in God's hands. |

Asked hubby what his greatest fear was and it was raising his boys on his own. I guess they scare us both... His next worst fear was that one of his boys would have as many tatoos and boby piercings and thier mother. i am in shock. I have not gotten any more then when we were first married. He said if he had known before he fell in love he would not have put n the time to fall in love. I guess we learn more about each other everyday. The more you disaprove, the more fun I am having!

I used to be afraid of children, yes, really! I would throw up with the eebie-jeebies if left alone in a room with a baby. God had different plans, having sorted me out on that one, I now work in a school with 500 kids, and I get the special needs ones! And I fostered an EBD boy as well. Sometimes I think God must be pissing himself laughing he has such fun with people, love him! I get the only just controllable urge to fall off tall buildings/cliffs - the edge pulls you somehow. The Eiffel Tower was incredible! My DD and I both have this so we had a mother/daughter bonding session and threw ourselves off a tall building together for charity. we had ropes. it was great. i want to do it again. please. love and kisses, Jan

My worst fears are: 1: Snakes, hate them with a passion! (Son had a snake hid in his room, in an easter egg, that he forgot and it died; Guess who found it! YIKES) 2: Heights, bridges, lookouts, planes etc. Love roller coaster though, go figure that one. 3: Cooking and Cleaning, now hear me out on this one, 3 kids and a Husband. Need I say more? 4: No chocolate in the house! That's about it! Jennifer |
