how about a crazy quilt? they are always fun, you can add lace where ever you want to dress it up, i did a little one that i used as a wall hanging years ago and added lace, it turned out really nice, but colors have changed in my home and i don't use it anymore. have fun with it

How about some simple patch pillow covers or crazy patch pillows.
Do you make doll clothes? Scraps are great for them.

You cut a circle of fabric, turn under 1/4 inch, sew around the edge so that you can pull on the thread to draw the edge in towards the center. Knot the thread, and voilą...you've made a yoyo.

There are instructions and ideas at the following website:

Besides the projects at the website I mentioned earlier, I have also seen quilts, pillow covers, flags, pins, and some people use them to decorate lamps, towels, clothing, etc. Some people are very creative with them and use them as part of a larger 'picture'. e.g. Add a stem and leaves, and they make a pretty flower. Add a little wooden head and wings, and you have an angel.
Take care,
Donna

Back in the late 60's or early 70's we used to mount yo-yos onto a plain muslin vest and make an attrative very colorful vest that looked real nice with jeans. It was a great way to use up scraps of cloth and they were both cute and fun to make.
