I think I have a problem.I'm enjoying knitting again. On my 6th pair of slippers.I also love quilting and can't find enough hours in
a day to do everything.I also take care of my 4 years old grandson while my daughter works.I also like to crochet doiles and other fine things out of doily thread.I also like this website.I spent alot of time reading and all the information from everyone is so helpful.I came came across a message about crochet spiral
dolls and clowns.I used to crochet them for my kids, but I can't find the patterns.I stated before I have RLS and can't sit for long periods at a time,so that slows me down.I just want to say thanks for letting me find this wonderful site.Got to go and check out the quilting forum on here now.

You are a true crafter - one that has too many projects and not enough time. I have a pattern for clowns crochet from round circles that are then tied together somehow. I haven't actually got around to doing it yet - its on my list for "one of these days". I'll be glad to send it to you if you think you would like it.

Sorry to hear about your RLS, I assume it means restless leg syndrome?..my dear SIL has that too but medications really help her. My legs twich a bit from "the big M" (as my hubby calls menopause) and my daughter told me to take extra magnesium tablets and low and behold that solved the twitching.
My SIL joined the RLS foundation and she gets good information from them.
Good luck:Canada:

yes I would love the pattern. my 4 year old grandson would like it when I can find time.maybe for Christmas.I made 2 pair of slippers for him and he wears them .I really didn't think he would. Now my daughter keeps says they are cute. maybe sshe's throwing a hint.
Yes restless leg syndrome. I have poor circulation.have been to doctor and had test done and spent night in sleep clinic.I have been on Sinimet for a long time and it does'nt work as good as it used to.I am up and down several times ddduring the night and exhausted during the day.Had to retire early in April. That's why I thought I would have more time for hobbies that I enjoy.I have a whole basket plus a couple of bags of yarn that I bought throughout the years.
I also have drawers and several baskets of fabric .I love to buy fabric, especially feedsack prints. My dad used to bring them home from the grainery years ago and my mother used to make aprons and skirts out of them for her and my sister and myself

Please tell me where you find feedsack fabrics? I live in Oklahoma City and the only place I've seem them is at quilt shows where they are ultra expensive (10.99 a yard and up).

I was going through these forums here on this website and someone said www.honeyforkfabrics.com so I checked it out.
I looked at fabrics and they said they will send free 10 swatches
So happens to be it's on sale at 4.99 yard. Here in Michigan I buy it
at quilt shops. It sells for anywhere from 6.97 yard and up.Now I see there's shipping aalso I have to pay so I wonder what's the best way to buy here in Michigan with 4% sales tax or their price and shipping.Hope this helps. They have lots of fabric and patterns.I shoulf br receiving 3x4 swatches anyday now.

Countryblocks02 - I found the clown pattern and scanned it. It's from Crafts and thing, 1991. Now, somehow I have to get your email address so I can send it to you but I know it's not good to put our email addresses on this forum. Perhaps if you request it, Mary can forward your email address to me??? Or, Mary, how do we arrange this???

Countrybocks - have you seen some of the fantastic simple kids hats you can make? http://www.i-craft.com/crafts99/kidcap.html - great for Christmas if you have loads of little ones. I like the sock patterns on that site and I'm hunting for easy free toesock patterns but yet to find one I understand! I also feel like knitting a mobius scarf. hey ho, flying needles once again!

OK magot now you got me all wired up. I don't have time for a nap now. I have got to make socks. I started another pair of slippers this morning.Got to hurry and get them done. I showed them to some of the girls I worked with and they want to buy them. They said they are nice and warm in the winter. I got order for six more. I have to make that hat for Derek. I have only one grandson, my children are grown. When my daughter was very young I used to make all her sundresses and panties to match.
I knitted sweaters for all of them, even myself. I took a smocking class years ago and still have pleater. I don't know if I remember how to smock. I have lots of cotton yarn to make discloths too. I like them and so does my son and his girlfriend and daughter.
I posted on the serger forum here too when I can figure out where to put one.
My needles are flying faster now
Thanks to everyone
