Thanks to those of you who responded to my message about the curtains and pillows. I just wanted to tell you that inspiration hit in the middle of the night! (I really hate it when that happens I can never get back to sleep). I am going to start by tinting my bedroom windows, because if you remember, my husband works at night. My father is going to make some cornices (spelling?) for my window treatment and I am going to cover them with a layer of batting and then a layer of burlap. I am going to make a bed skirt with the burlap also. If anyone has any idea about an easy way to make a simple (not gathered or ruffled) bed skirt the information would be appreciated.

I just have to ask, why burlap? Do you know how smelly that stuff is?
