I am on the final part of making a bumper pad for my baby's room. I am supposed to stitch all pieces together- - this includes both pieces of fabric, the batting that is attached to them, & the tabs (used to attach the bumper to the crib). This thing is really thick and will not fit underneath my presser foot that I have on my sewing maching. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stitch all the way around this thing without resorting to hand stitching (will take me forever since I do not really know how)?

If you can first baste you batting to one side of the fabric. Then trim away the excess that covers the seam allowance. Then this should reduce the bulk enough for you to sew the seam under your presser foot. You might also try sewing it closed using your zipper foot as its easier to use next to all the bulk.

Good Luck!
