I finally received my two CD's from Living Soft. The Jackets and
the Shirts. I waited quite a while for them to arrive.

However, I installed the Jacket program OK, but could not install
the Shirt CD. Is it possible that 2 programs cannot be installed
together. Will I have to uninstall one each time I want to use
the other. I have tried several times and each time it seems to install and says that the installation is complete, but I cannot find it on my hard drive. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

If you let it self install and it selected where to go..

Then it will be under program files and then under the files folder livingsoft.

Thanks Aimee, I thought I did try that but I will try again. Also I
don't remember seeing an activation code anywhere.

Did they send you a activation code. Usally it comes from a gal named Patty via Email. ON time mine came on the disk in the letter.

No I did not receive an activation code. I contacted the Dress Shop by email but have not heard from them.

I wonder, the Jacket pattern comes up on my screen and when
I choose "Sloper" a pattern for pants appears and a bodice pattern. Do you think the bodice is the 'Women's Shirts'
patterns. If so I do not seem to be able to use it. I tried to change the measurements and save the results, but the bodice
I saved is not saved.

I am really getting frustrated.. Maybe the DS5 is not for me if I cannot handle the simple patterns of Sew by Design.

Thank you again Aimee.

I did get an activation from Living Soft but now I am having a
problem with the patterns. Do I have to enter my measurements for each garment, or can I use a Sloper measurent and then add
any adjustments? I have tried to print 3 different patterns and they all come out with the same Sloper measurements. Plus the
Back Armhole on all patterns look very must longer than the front
and do not look right to me. Even the Jackets have the same
armhole as the shirts. I am using the Sew by Design for Shirts
and one for Jackets.
Can anyone please help me?

yes you can add adjustments. then you print it out the sloper I mean. cut it out of bed sheets or muslin. then sew it together and see where there may need to be changes. Then you will go in the the pattern and us the toggle switches to make the adjustments. Don t worry about the back arm hole being longer. some times it is needed for a proper fit. On me I have a longer back arm hole. I have to easy it in and I have the right amount of movement that I dont have with most patterns. I have large lat muscles from working out with weights and it helps with the rotation.

forgot to add. when you get the pattern to where you like it you can save the measurements under your own name and that way you will not have to make teh adjustments again.

Thank you Aimee, I will try again. I think I will go right back to
restarting the program and go from there.
