I think I posted a few months ago about my SIL that had a brain tumor removed. Well, it has grown back. Her doctors where she lives say they can't operate this time and gave her a 27% chance of survival. However, another doctor is sending her to Boston for several weeks at the end of the month for special treatments and say it will give her a much better chance. She's not having chemo, but some type of radiation. She's expecting to lose her hair again (I'm not sure if it's from the treatments or if they'll shave her head again) and I promised to make her some chemo caps. I found one pattern yesterday in a Hancock Fabrics flyer. I would like to make several different ones. Does anyone know where I might find a different pattern for the caps? Or maybe a hat pattern that would be good for this. Thanks. |

So sorry to hear of your SIL. Hope she gets some help in Boston. I've had brain surgery too and I shudder at the thought of going thru it twice. Nancy's Notions has a pattern under the Creative Kindness section. I have pasted it below but if it doesn't work, just go to her site. God Bless http://www.nancysnotions.com/Nancys/assets/html/gailsckberet.asp?mscssid=0042981CFA2C504FF18468FBA 75F731E&Gift=false&GiftID= I've decided to live forever - so far, so good.

Thanks so much ladies. I should be able to make her a nice variety of caps with all those ideas. She just asked for a couple of them, but I think I'll make her 3 fleece ones for wearing outside and 3 light weight ones for indoors. |
