for a new contest. I have an awesome book to give away as a prize. It is from Coats & Clark called Garments for beginners. Awesome photography and step by step directions for simple, easy shell, T shirt, pants, skirt, etc.

What shall the challenge be?

I think the first person who responded to your question, suggestion offered or not, should get it. :bg: :bg:

Hi Mary,

Here goes...:whacky:

Fall is here, so how about something made from fleece...hats, maybe. It would be fun to embellish them.

We could transform a sweatshirt into a jacket, with embellishments, of course.

We could make a vest...Everyone can commiserate about the proper way to turn it right side out.

We could make something 'Halloween-y' or 'Thanksgiving-y', or 'Christmas-y'...maybe a table runner.
Take care,
Donna

I like the holiday ideas.

How about the hats and instead of sending in a pic you also have to send the hat after it is done to your local cancer hospice.

halloween costumes......

doen't have to be the most pretty or scary but original.
The more you disaprove, the more fun I am having!

How about something simple for us beginners! I'm thinking something like an original organizer for your sewing room, or a vest?

I like the hat idea. (I'm already working on chemo caps)

How about Christmas ornaments in a couple of months?

What about a contest to see who can come up with the best idea for the contest. NAHHHHHHH

What about a Christmas stocking. Everybody can make one of those they are easy and think of the possiblities for decorating them, they are endless. and when we are finished we could donate them to a christmas give away drive.

Susie My two cents worth.

Seeing as I didn't win for being the first to post :bg: I think the stocking idea is great too. Trouble is I don't have a digital camera so not sure how I would get it submitted but I'll think of something.

Mama do you have a scanner? You can scan them or if you live near somewhere that can put the pictures on disk or a place like Walmart that has that machine that scans picture you might be able to scan a picture onto a floppy disk and do it that way.

Yes, I have a scanner. I'll work something out just not sure what yet. I know someone with a digital camera so maybe I'll ask for a favour. Two of my daughters have them but none of the girls live in the same city as me....(sigh)...
