Shoulder Pads?

I love shoulder pads. I suffer from sloped shoulder syndrome.
A jacket, blouse and sweater all look so much nicer with the added dimension of shoulder pads. They give more stature to the overall look of an outfit. And they make me feel empowered!

I don't know why manufacturers stopped supplying them in garments and it makes me rather teed off. They probably got rid of them to save an additional 25 cents. Personally, if I see a garment in the store that has shoulder pads, that's the item I try on. And I'm generally pleased with the look, even if the fabric isn't exactly what I had in mind.

Designers, be kind. Bring back the shoulder pads. That was one fashion bonus I liked!

You can always add sholder pads

I Think they got rid of them because women where starting to look like football players.

I think they went out with the ponted bra.
The more you disaprove, the more fun I am having!

Shoulder pads are still in some things, but not many. I made a jacket recently that called for them, but I didn't bother. It still looks fine.

I too think they got carried away with the look. Remember those suits on Dynasty, good grief. You could lose an eye if you weren't careful.

Web2cats,

I completely agree. I have sloped shoulders too and never could have been accused of looking like a football player. My mother could never wear them so she would cut them out of her clothes and saved them for me. I have put them in RTW items and things I've made. I look much better with them. I'm sure they'll come back someday, most everything does eventually.
