Hello - I am trying to put a zipper in a simple bag (Simplicity pattern 9949, bag G), but when I get to the 2nd part of stitching the zipper in with the zipper opened, I can not sew around the zipper pull. Any help is appreciated as I have practiced on three bags so far and I am frustrated. If anyone has an easy way to make a cosmetic bag or knows of a free pattern on the Web, please let me know. Thank you. bb |

You have to stop sewing, move the zipper pull out of the way, then continue sewing. Maybe this article will help: ![]() http://www.sew-whats-new.com/sewing/zippers.shtml There is also info on zippers here: http://www.sew-whats-new.com/sewinglessons/skirt/lesson3.shtml Take care,

Stop sewing with needle down in the material, lift presser foot, move zipper pull out of the way very carefully, put presser foot down, continue your seam...![]() ![]() Sew With Love
