I want to make a vinyl coated poncho for my granddaughter. I was told that if I sew it, the holes made by the needle would cause the rain to go through the poncho, and that I should glue the poncho instead. I would appreciate any information available on this. Thank you |

I made stuff from vinyl alot. I have not had the rain go through more of the sweat on the inside but there is a product called seal a seam. it is in the plumbing area like an apoxy or calking you apply it with your finger over the holes.
The more you disaprove, the more fun I am having!

try a liquid product called Seam Sure or Seam Seal. it is applied over the stitch holes and seals them. i have tried it with goretex, and it works well. |
