If people ask, do you tell them your true age ???

I do...but thats because I don't look my age (according to almost everyone whos met me, including the service manager at my car dealer who thought I was younger than his 38...and the neighbors who thought I was in my mid 30's, because THEY are)

Yes I do. I am proud of my many years. All 32. When I get to be my mother's age I might lie like she does but that is only cause she started her life so late. She is 75 she became a grandma at 62 She thought she was too young.

My son Gave me a compliment and then shot himself.

He asked if I was a vetren. I told him yes and he went on further to say I didn't think you where old enough to be a vetren.

Ahhh thanks

Then he says dont you have to be like 10 years older like 60.

ARRRGGHHH
The more you disaprove, the more fun I am having!

I am young (23), but people still think that I am younger than that. The other day a lady came to my door and when I opened it she asked if my mother was home. I told her that I am the lady of the house and she kind of giggled and said you look about 14. :whacky: A 14 year old, who was in the Navy, been married for 4 years and with 3 children... Wheeeew!

Right now I think people look at me as a kid, and I don't really like that because I don't want to be treated as one. However, in the years to come I think I'll appreciate it!!!

Age is of no importance to me and never has been. I'm 56, don't look it, don't act like and don't care!!

Once my husband (who is 8 yrs older then me) said something like, "don't you think it's time you acted your age". and I tell him "No, I tried that once and didn't like it":bg:

p.s. to chiloGod - I can relate to your story. When I was married with 2 kids a fellow drove up and asked me if my dad was home - I told him no, but my husband was in the barn. He almost fell over.
I've decided to live forever - so far, so good.

I haven't lied about my age since I turned 21!!! I did when I was younger cuz all my cousins were older, and I had a Fake ID so I could go out with them (of course I was the designated driver!) :bluesad:

What is the point about lying about your age anyway? It doesn't matter anyhoo. I wouldn't want to be back in my 20's for anything!!! (VERY BAD DECADE!) And, I would find it more of a complement to be told I look FANTASTIC for my age, then "average or questionable" for the age I lied about!

So, I am 34 next month, and just living my life. When I wear my hair back however, people do think I am in my mid-20's WHICH does make me feel good, however, not good enough to wear my hair that way everyday.:whacky: What a pain putting my hair up!

I've never lied about my age & never will. Age is just a number & as long as we keep breathing the number will go up. I enjoy life, still don't act my age ( whatever that means ), love to laugh, learn new things & etc, etc.. I'm age 60, have 4 children & 10 grandchildren from age 18 to 4 years. Wonderful husband & aren't retired & don't plan to be. Your as young as you feel even with health problems. Take things in stride & know there's always someone worse off than you are. Enjoy each day, life is short at best. I just can't figure out who that woman in my mirror is though.

We sure are a bunch of down to earth gals, aren't we? I don't lie about my age (39) although I do have to stop and do the math sometimes because it just isn't on my mind at all. It's generally good for a laugh for the one doing the asking. I still wonder sometimes when I'm going to feel like a grown-up!

I think my Mom made the best statement to me when I turned 60. DH and I were there visiting and she looked at me and said "How old are you now Pat? I said I just turned 60. She says: "well, you don't look old enough to be 60." Now people are telling me I don't look old enough to be 62 (in February). Oh well, like they say be the best you can be at whatever age you are and enjoy life as you go through.

When I last went to donate blood I asked if I could become a bone marrow donor the nurse asked me how old I was

"27"I said, "No, hang on, my daughters19, I'm 46, sorry I forgot" I don't think I'm 46, I still feel 27 inside me! Sometimes I'm 12- when the snow is fresh on the ground or the leaves are piled in huge golden drifts. I am who I am.

They wouldn't let me donate the bone marow, said I was too old - pshaw!

My Mum always used to say that "I'm 97 next Tuesday" from about 40 onwards..

I'm 42. I never lie about my age; I just bend the truth a little :bg: When I feel down, I just don't say. When I'm a pest, I say I'm 26. We're all heading in the same direction so most of the time, I don't bother with it.

Sewingrandma, glad to read that you have to do the math to. My hubby thinks I'm the only one who can't remember her age. :nc:
