This is being purely selfish, so no saving the world from disease or hunger....

If money were NO object, what 3 things would you want most in the world ???

I'd like to be able to buy my sister a home of her own. (she's been on her own for most of her life, not asked for anything and gotten less than that, always living in small apts she could afford.)

I'd like to have a bigger house for myself, my ferrets, my books and my 'toys' (ie, embroidery/sewing machines, computers).

I'd like to live out west near my sister..(we're all we have and I've had to live far away, due to military service and my husband having a job down here in FL).

Wow, like I haven't done this when I can't sleep. I've divided my imaginary lotto winnings more than 3 ways but I'll stick to your request for the top 3.

1) buy all 3 of my dtrs nice homes and one nice reliable car each.
2) buy hubby and I a house here in Canada and one in the south for the winter, both with large sewing/painting/craft room.
3) buy the best BabyLock serger, embroidery and quilting sewing machine they make and a camcorder so I record all my quilts.
:bg:
I've decided to live forever - so far, so good.

First: I would get out of debt. IE pay off all credit cards & income tax debt.
Second: I would help my kids get out of debt. DD1 house & car loans. DD2 pay for student teaching in Australia next spring & car loan. DD 3 I would pay off student loans & next 3 years of school. DS1&2 & DD 4 I would put enough away so there college would be paid if they choose to go.

Third: I would buy myself a bigger house where everyone has there own space & the roof doesn't need fixing & we don't need new windows, Etc.

Now if someone can tell me where to find the pot of gold we will be all set.

I would put money in trust for my daughter for when she's 18 and I would pay off my sons student loans - he will be leaving uni next year £ 10,000 in debt(at 21).

I would buy a house by the sea( in Whitby, my favourite place)

I would buy my parents a big house in the country to say thank you for all they've done for me( and it's a lot!)

1st thing I would do is buy all the property and equipment my hubby needs to full fil his dream job.

2nd I would get a bigger house. 6 of us in a 1300 sqft house is tight and it would have a top floor just for me and the house would be designed for me. It has to be on the top because hubby cant climb stairs.

3. pay off all the debt we are incurring with his layoff.

I guess if the first one happened then the rest would fall in line.

Hey there goes that lepercahn. I bet I get him first...
The more you disaprove, the more fun I am having!

The 3 things I would love to have money can't buy.

1. I wish my hubby had better health.

2. I wish we both had our parents with us.

3. I wish my grown kids got along better.

I also wish someone was crazy enough to come and clean up my sewing room. LOL. No chance of that I guess.

Mary -- if I lived closer I would come and help you clean and organize your sewing room :bg:

3 things i wld want if money was no object:

1) some nice acreage (large)with a nice house on it, a nice barn, and an indoor riding arena and a guest house or 2 plus a big insulated pole barn for my workshop and all the equipment needed to make it work :bg:

2) a professional quilting machine of my choice

3) the rest in investments or whatever so i never had to work again and can just do my sewing and stitching

and like Mary ....
3 things i would want that money cant buy:

1) wish my dads parents back and in good health

2) wish i children of my own

3) wish i had taken better care of myself health wise

3 things I'd like if money were no object-

I'd like to buy a B&B on a large piece of property, build a large extra building with a commercial kitchen, dining room and a large banquet like hall. I'd then like to quit work and host quilt camps quarterly.

I'd open trusts for both my kids for homes when they graduate because at the rate of inflation on homes in Southern California I'm not sure how they'll ever be able to afford a house.

I'd establish a trust fund to provide books and reading tutors for impoverished children.

We've joyfully paid off all debts, credit cards and so on but have still yet got 2 kids to get through college...
So,
1 first priority with any money we receive is to tithe it so most of my daydreaming if I had the money daydream are working out who I would give the money away to.

2 Get the kids through uni debt free.

3 Buy a really new, top of the range caravan(trailer to you folks) so I could go away with my hubby and yet still have my own stuff around me.
love and kisses, Jan
