Hello,
I have decided to learn how to quilt, and I am starting to purchase the things I will need. I need a walking foot for my machine, but I don't know what kind to get. I have a Huskystar 224 made by Husqvarna-Viking, and the book or website does not tell me what kind of shank I have. I don't know how to tell the difference. The website does not even list the attachmnets available for my machine. Could someone help me out on what kind of walking foot I need and what kind of shank my machine has. Also I have seen different feet listed as types, such as "Type A" etc..., what type do I need to look for? Thanks for any help. Wendy J.

here is a link to your model http://www.sew.husqvarna.se/index_centrera.htm (husky)

my machine as a snap on feet but for the walking foot I have to take the hole thing out and put on the walking foot with a screw. I don't know about you but i did buy the viking walking foot for my machine. I did buy a generic feet once for my old machine and was disapointed.

Thanks for your reply. On the viking website under accessories it says to choose your machine but my machine is not listed. Also for the husqvarna viking walking foot, it does not list my machine as compatable. I think the kenmore foot will work. It is listed at:
http://sewingmachine221sale.bizland.com/store/page62.html
as being compatable with my machine. I hope so LOL! Thanks again - Wendy
P.S. That link above have all sorts of feet and attachments at good prices if you want to check it out.
