Hi All,
I was on ebay looking for a good deal on thread and came across several listings for vintage wooden thread spools. Some were empty. I was wondering what they are used for? Can you re-use them some way after they are empty? Thanks - Wendy

Some people make ornaments from them.

Here I go (showing my age, again)...Back when I was a child, women who sewed made dolls and other toys out of empty thread spools.. At that time all thread spools were wooden.. I remember begging my Grandmother to please hurry up and finish 2 more so that the clown we were making could have his other arm..Just thread spools, big wooden beads, and elastic thread were all that you needed to make various dolls...:bg: :bg:
