I am making pajamas. Currently I am trying to cut out the pants pattern. I am confused on the directions though - doesn't seem right. It has the material folded in half with one pant leg on the fold end and the other pant leg on the selvage end. I am confused because most pajama pants only have the seam in the inside of the legs. If I cut it like the pattern I will get 4 pieces not attached anywhere. Can someone please help me out, maybe I am reading the pattern wrong or just don't see the finished project right!
Thanks,
Jessica

It sounds like these pants have side seams also. You can cut as shown and have two more straight easy seams to sew or use a different pattern. If the sides are on grain and perfectly straight you should be able to place the stitching lines on the fabric fold and just cut out that way, but it will take more yardage.
