 today is my birthday....and this is TYPICAL of what happens on my birthday...EVERY year....::heavy sigh:: At 3 pm we get the ferrets out for playtime...I discover they have fleas....I've NEVER had fleas in my home, the culprit MUST be Harry the new kid...so it's off to the vet for some 'stuff'...I get home (we're supposed to be going out for dinner...I'm NOT cooking today), but now I have to wash ferrets, all their 'stuff', tear down the cage and clean that too...I call a local restaurant for take out, (theres NO way we're gonna have time to go out now..) and the woman who answers wants to argue with me about what I order...I've been ordering/eating at this restaurant for 8 years now...I THINK I know what I can get and what I want. So I order and tell her someone will be there to pick it up in 15 mins....the doorbell rings...it's the new part for the Christmas tree I've had since Nov.5th, but part of it doesn't work..(pre-lit) but noooooooooo...it's a part for a 7' tall tree...I have a 4 1/2 ft tall tree...now I have to try and get ahold of these people, again....and their phone is mysteriously BUSY all the time. (yes I have tried calling back after the initial call, because I had this terrible feeling the woman on the phone didn't get how small the tree was...and I was right) Now it's 5 pm and my husband goes to get our food....he has to get the manager, the idiot who took our order, deleted what SHE said we couldn't have...and since SHE WAS WRONG, we get our food.....after we eat...make sure the ferrets are Ok...and settle down a bit...(yeah I'm mad...very, very mad....) I ask my husband to go out and get the mail....We finally get the labels I ordered, but are they correct ???????? nnnnnooooooooooo....I ordered them WITHOUT names, just an address...but they come with BOTH our names..so I have to call the company and YES I DID order them without names....the woman I talk to this time wonders why they put names on, when the form clearly DIDN'T have any....I said I don't know....but it better be correct the NEXT time..... It's now 8pm....I'm tired...still mad and I still have to get on the phone tomorrow and straighten out the tree problem....and I don't think we'll be having a christmas tree this year, beacuse of other peoples stupid behavior.....  and yes this truly WAS a typical birthday for me...it's either REALLY weird or I'm so sick I can't get out of bed and it's been that way my whole life....you'd think I'd get a break one year out of the past 49... thanks for letting me rant....I'd ranther NOT make a mess on the brick walls of my house...

Poor thing!!!!!!!! I feel for ya. My birthdays are usually the same thing, so this Friday you may hear my ranting also!!!! I am so sorry your day turned out so crappy! -BrendaLou P.S

Is it safe to say, "Happy day after your Birthday"???? Chrys? Just enjoy your new clean ferrets and think of how soft they will be now are treated!

Oh, Chrys, Aren't you glad that birthdays only come once per year... I hope today is a much better day for you, and things keep getting better!  You'll really have to pamper yourself now, to make up for yesterday, so do something fun and carefree!
