Hi again! I have the following machines for sale: - a c.100y/o Singer treadle in cabinet with cast iron base, - 2 Singer [66?] vintage machines in domed cases, - a portable vintage Eldridge machine, - an extra wooden base for a treadle, - a vintage New Home in left swing wooden cabinet, - a 10y/o unused Singer basic workhorse portable, and - a 30y/o basic Singer workhorse in left swing wooden cabinet. ALL must go due to space limitations and all monies will go to pay my lawyer [re divorce] & help w/ my monthly RX's. I'm the naive' lady who is selling off sewing room due to estranged spouse's conversion of our former marital monies, home equity, stocks & assets... All was done while I was in home healthcare under home nurse- hospice care. Not looking for pity, as I realize my trusting nature and 13+years of his actions got me here [& got him into a brand new home , bought with equity from our former marital home, w/ his new house conveyed to his mother]. It's the classic story we always hear men speaking of their estranged wives; had I been healthier not awaiting a heart TX & other serious medical disabilities, I'd perhaps been more in control of assets. Anyway, I live in the Chicago metro area and since shipping these machines is terrifically high [as most are steel case], I'd hope perhaps that someone is interested locally or knows someone who may be. The 2 cabinets [treadle & stand alone vintage] are rough and need work. I'd planned to redo them, but health doesn't permit [nor does space]. Any serious offers will be negotiated and all reasonables, accepted. First come, first serve.
