At last I am getting a sewing room! We are moving from our apartment (two bedrooms) to a big old fashioned 3 bedroomed house. The smallest bedroom will be my sewing room. I think that now I will be able to leave my stuff out ,instead of putting everything away every time, I will do more sewing - that's the plan, anyway!

Yay! Mt husband wants to move my gear into the spare roon ( the teens sitting room) to become a sewing room but I wouldn't fit the BIIIIIIG table `i like to use, so I too am a member of the get it out, put it away brigade. hope your move goes well.

HOW EXCITING!!!!! We are converting our 3rd bedroom into a sewing room for me also. It is SO MUCH FUN!!! I think the hubby is going to be happy that my sewing stuff will not be scattered all over the house anymore. He hasn't seen our dining room table or our kitchen island countertop in over three months!!!!!:whacky:

Congratulations Diane!

It's great having your own room. I used to have my serger and fabric on the kitchen table and fabric hanging over the chairs. Now I have my own small room so I don't have to put everything away all the time.

Just make sure your new sewing room has a strong, soundproof door. That way you can ignore what's going on outside.

I should just say that I will have to share this room with a computer. However, we all know that sewing is more important , so it is definetly "my" sewing room! Besides, I can use the computer to talk to you ladies - best of both worlds!
