Is Pashmina like cashmere? or is it a differnt kind of wool blend? Has anybody ever used it to make a baby blanket?

I am not sure, but I THINK my sister told me it is a blend or cashmere and some other kind of wool.. If you find it by the yard, it should be marked as to content.. Those scarves a lot of my friends got last Christmas sure felt great.. So soft and warm...

This is what I found. The pashmina we see on the Web and in local stores is usually a 80/20, 70/30 or even a 50/50 blend of cashmere and silk respectively. Luxurius product! seems like some real nice fabric. Yannick

I would hesitate to make a baby blanket out of anything with even a small amount of wool in it as a baby may be allergic to it. Patsy Patsy

Savani, you can make me a blanket out of it. I should think it would be totally delicious. MaryW

Doubt I would make such an expensive item for a baby in cashmere, since theyre not washable and would shrink if water was near them lol. some children are allergic to wool mine were. If at first you don't suceed, try-try again!
