I have a dear grandson who is autistic. His aids to help him along are always costly and very hard to find. His mother sent me a link to something he will find very comforting and calming. Here it is. http://www.integrationscatalog.com/products/body_sox.jsp My point (and I do have one as Helen DeGeneres says) is that this sort of product is very easily made for a fraction of the price. This may be a unique niche for someone. Just a suggestion. MaryW

I doubt very seriuosly that I could make and sell one of these for that price as the right type of Lycra fabric would not be cheap. |

It wouldn't have to be 4 way stretch necessarily. That is the ideal situation, but autistic kids love to be surrounded with just about anything. He loves it when his brother sits on him or we wrap him up in a quilt. Think smother and that is what they crave.

I have GOT to make one of these. My 9yos has Sensory Integration Dysfunction....he's constantly getting hurt, as he doesn't realize his body's parameters. What a wonderful tool - thank you Mary for posting this!!!!!!!!!! Allie "onward through the fog"

Allie, in case you are interested. I found some power stretch for this project very reasonably priced. Check it out. http://www.wazoodle.com/cgi-bin/catstore.cgi?user_action=list&category=Flash%20Sale&start=30 I am ordering some for Mattie, the grey I think. MaryW
