I am trying to make a wrap around skirt from a pattern for the first time and having the following problem with the waistband - The instruction says to attach the waistband at waist on the wrong side of the skirt material and when I do, I have the waistband left hanging on the right side, about 30cm length. Then I am yet to attached the skirt tie to it, some advise appreciated,

Wouldn't it say to attach the skirt tie further around the waistband so that you can tie it with an overlap? Is there a marking on the pattern that you may have missed? Have you tried putting it on to see what makes sense?

Hi Chella, welcome to Sew Whats New. :bluesmile

I think you will be sewing the long edge to the upper edge of the skirt, right?
