This is for Mary. You mentioned in the Sewing Tip a Day newsletter that you are continuing on to Washington after NYC. What plans do you have? I highly recommend the Textile Museum and a trip to the suburbs for G Street Fabrics. I think the Rockville, MD store is the largest and it is easy to get to from the Metro train. |

Hi stitchmd, I would love to see G Street Fabrics. We don't have any solid plans. Barry and I both want to see the Smithsonian and all that it has to offer. That will take a couple of days, I am going to see the Hope Diamond I hope. LOL. Textile Museum sounds great too. Hopefully we can do it all. Keep your fingers crossed. MaryW

Today is our last day here in Washington. We have enjoyed ourselves a great deal. We have found that by the time we catch the metro, tour the museum, catch the metro back and have something to eat, the day is shot. So far we have done 3 museums, both aircraft ones and the museum of natural history. I think that is what it is called. We will do one more today because I am not going to leave until I see the Hope Diamond! We found many wonderful places to shop. Pentagon City is super and so is Georgetown. If Barry had his way, we would eat in every single restaurant. Every night we go to the pool and hot tub. I have not seen one fabric store or picked up a needle yet. I am getting kinda antsy though. It will probably happen once we settle in Naples. MaryW
