I'm starting a scrapbooking class at community school tomorrow. I took one afternoon class on it a few years ago. I love doing it. It's just hard going through pictures and deciding which ones to use. I don't want to ruin them.

Does anyone else do scrapbooking?

Oh yes, I love scrapbooking. I took all my pictures out of the albums and photocopied them so I could make each of my 3 dtrs a memory album of their own...the oldest girl is 32 so I had quite a few pictures. So, I first sorted out which ones I needed 3 of, 2 of and just 1 of and then had them copied. Because I had so many I was able to cut a deal with the local business that does this so it cut my costs. Once in the album you couldn't tell which ones were copied and which were original.
It was quite a job but worth it when the girls got their albums.
Now I have to do mine...yikes, 56 yrs of pictures.

If you don't have the negatives I would suggest you photo copy some of them until you feel comfortable cutting the orginals.

Have fun

Do you put all your original pictures in an album and always use photocopies for your scrapbooking?

Me too Me too!! I do scrapbooking too!!

I've been collecting scrapbooking supplies for about 3 years now. I have very little time to actually work on my scrapbook though so I only have about 10 pages done.

Lots of fun though. It definitly appeals to my sense of creativity but totally satisfies my need for INSTANT GRATIFICATION. Perfect!

When I was ready to scrapbook my daughter's ultra sound pictures I didn't want to cut the picture so I cut a slit in the paper and slid the unwanted part of the picture behind the paper.

To save your pictures cut frames directly into your card stock and secure the pictures from the back. That way nothing is ruined.

I coloured copied the ones for my dtrs but I think I'll use the originals for mine. I feel pretty confident right now about cropping, etc. However, I must confess any that are very precious to me, pictures of my parents, etc., I have scanned onto my computer and burnt onto a CD so I can always reprint them.
I always like to have a back up plan!!!

I just got back from my class. There are so many things you can get! I bought an album. I think I will just start with one for myself with my two kids pictures from when they were babies up to now. They are 13 and 9 so it will take me awhile.
