Hi, I am new to this group and fairly new to sewing. I am trying to make a ruffle for a pillow, but the instructions are a bit vague. I know I have to zig-zag stitch over a piece of heavy thread and pull the ends to create the ruffle, but how do I stitch up the ends where they meet so that the stitches don't show? Am I making any sense? Not sure how else to ask my question so I hope someone understands. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Jean B.

You can stitch your ends together first, and then do the gathering stitches between the seams.

Thanks for your reply. I thought about trying that, but couldn't picture how I would do the gathering once it was one big circle connected together. I guess I'll give that a shot since you seem to understand what it is I was trying to say even though I wasn't really sure what I was saying.....LOL!! Thanks again!!
