Hi, I am new to this group and fairly new to sewing. I am trying to make a ruffle for a pillow, but the instructions are a bit vague. I know I have to zig-zag stitch over a piece of heavy thread and pull the ends to create the ruffle, but how do I stitch up the ends where they meet so that the stitches don't show? Am I making any sense? Not sure how else to ask my question so I hope someone understands. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. Jean B. |

You can stitch your ends together first, and then do the gathering stitches between the seams. |

Thanks for your reply. I thought about trying that, but couldn't picture how I would do the gathering once it was one big circle connected together. I guess I'll give that a shot since you seem to understand what it is I was trying to say even though I wasn't really sure what I was saying.....LOL!! Thanks again!! |
