I just ordered some beaded trim online, only to find that, instead of being attached to a sturdy stip, its attached to thin satin ribbon. I am trying to trim cushion covers. Do you think the trim will hold up?

I would be a little extra careful, wait and see what it looks like when it arrives.

Perhaps you can attach the ribbon to something stronger. I bought some on a heavy twill tape but the beads were attached by a single thread and don't look strong at all. If it breaks they will all go so I'm going to run it through the zig zag a coulpe times to attach them more securely. Dorothy |

I've used this bead on satin ribbon trim a lot....on costumes and on decorative pillows. It's amazingly durable unless the cushion covers you are talking about are going to be moved around a lot or have a lot of people sitting on/near them. I still would give it a try. |

They are just throw pillows, I did try to give the trimming a good shake and it(surprisingly), did not tear. I guess I am used to tape (it just looks stronger). I'll do one pillow with the trim as is, if it does tear or anything, I'll stitch it onto a stronger twill tape. Is there a special stitch I shold be using?
