I need help! I feel so silly. I got bleach marks on two of my favorite shirts, one black and one dark blue. (I did it by leaning over the washer where some bleach had apparently spilled). Does anyone know how to cover the bleach marks? They are pretty big. |

I was thinking ...could you do some applique on the bleach marks.. I'm bad for that myself ... have ruined a few pieces off clothing... Don't know what else you could do with it!!! I'm sure someone else will have an Idea for you .

Permanent marker in the color of your shirt. Color over the bleach spot. They will never again be the same but it will cover it enough so that you can wear the shirt without obvious bleach stains. I do this so often that it is not funny. After you color your shirt it will look like a stain up close but from a distance people shouldn't be able to tell. Some of my black shirts wouldn't take the marker so you will just have to try and see. You really have nothing to lose at this point. Hope this helps! Gina

Thanks so much! I will try these ideas. They should make that fabric dye in bottles so you could just dab it on rather than washing the whole garment. |

Rit dye is available in liquid form, not just powder... Check your variety or grocery stores..

I've done the same thing, in fact I'm wearing my sweatshirt that I dropped a couple drops of bleach on when it was new. I covered it up with a matching fabric pen and I kept applying it over and over til the colour was really close. Eeverytime I washed it (ok hubby washed it) I would reapply it if it started to show. I can barely find it now. Good luck I've decided to live forever - so far, so good.
