and do you sew when it's on? My all time favortie was Another World, but it bite the dust. My second is Days of our Lives. I have watched both since I was a child in the 60's. I have tried to get into the ABC & CBS shows but just can't. When I was working I would listen to my soaps on my TV band Radio ( with headphones ), so I was able to listen and sew. I was able to get more done during those hours because everyone knew not to bother me then!!!!!!! It got to the point where we ALL started listening to our radios with headphones and production actually went up

I have been watching General Hospital for 26 years..... I stated watching when I was 8 when my dad was home for the summer. Been hooked since. My next favorite it One Life To Live. and then All my Children. Sometimes I can go a week or month and not miss much. The only thing I want is on one of the shows to have a cinderella couple. and live happily ever after. I am tired of the infidelity and bordom that they fell after they finally get together. The more you disaprove, the more fun I am having!

I'm a Days of our Lives fan. Been watching it since I was little in the 70's. I thought it was tragic when Another World went off the air. Passions is kind of freaky. The one thing that I find really funny about soaps is how they age the kids. They pay no attention to who was born first. In 1984 Sami Brady was born, then in 1995 she gave birth to Will. Phillip Kiriakis was also born in 1995. Will is still a little boy while Phillip is now a secret agent for the ISA. Brady Black and Abigail Deveraux were both born in 1992. Abigail still looks her age but Brady made the jump to a twenty something business man pretty fast. Shawn D. was born in 1987 just 3 years after Sami. Now he is dating her half sister Belle who was born in 1993. Somehow Belle passed Abigail up, and Brady passed up Shawn D. Do those Black kids have some hidden power or something? I know you are all probably thinking I have too much time on my hands if I know when eveyone was born. But there is a wonderful site that tells me all I need to know. http://www.imdb.com/ It is also funny how they bring back old actors to play new people. Like Adrienne Johnson Kiriakis is now Bonnie Lockhart. It took me forever to figure out who she used to be. Well anyway as you can tell I am a "Days" fanatic. I love to talk about soaps. It makes my life feel not so crazy. Gina

I love Days of Our Lives too. It's driving me crazy trying to figure out who the killer is. WHO DO YOU THINK IT IS? On commercials during Days I watch The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful. But my favorite is Days. |

| Don't know, but I am sooooooooooooooo glad that Josh Taylor is gone!!!!! He is not and never will be Roman Brady. I have heard that Mike is being re-casted Feb 1, and Alice Horton my be the last one the killer gets. Heard that she wants to call it quits and wants to got out with a big splash. I wish they would get rid of John Black, if I see that head cocked sideways look any more, I think I will scream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's a bad actor!!!!!!!! |

That's funny 'cause Josh Taylor is the only Roman I remember. I thought that Aidan Quinn played him for awhile but couldn't find anything about that. When you say Mike do you mean Mike Horton? He's on Passions now(well Roark Critchlow is) playing a Psyche doctor. I don't know who the killer is. I've been a bad girl and missed a lot of shows lately. It is probably not any of the usual suspects (Sami, Tony or Nicole). What about Jan? She just popped up all of the sudden. It seems possible to me but like I said I have missed a lot of shows. Let's see if we can figure it out. If everyone says who they think it is and why. Then we all can post why it can't be that person then by elimination we should be able to figure it out. Gina

Wayne Northrop was the orinigal Roman Brady. He was great in the role. Josh Taylor will always be Chris Kosachik(sp) another Days role from years ago. And yes, I do remember Adriene Johson & Patch. I ment to say that Mickey Horton, the son to Alice, is stepping down. This was reported on a "Days web-page". I think the killer is going to be someone that we have seen on the show in the past, but not one that we would suspect. I think that they are leaning towards a women, but that could be a stinker to distract from the real killer. The smell of Stephano is all over this one, as usual. They really need to get away from him and Tony. Maybe it's Kristin!!!!!! Or Eric Brady!!! Maybe even Bill or Mike Horton, ir Carrie Brady Horton for that matter.  Did Carrie ever marry Mike Horton yet?I have also heard that someone who is dead now may not really be dead!!!! It's a trap to try and get the killer to slip up!!!!! |

I think it might be Marlena (I heard that Hattie is really pretending to be Marlena and Marlena was kidnapped when she went to see Eric awhile ago). The killer has to be someone everyone knows because Maggie sat and talked to the killer in her kitchen, like a friend and Caroline talked to the killer and gave her a loaf of bread in the Brady pub. I don't remember anyone else playing Roman either, but I only started watching the show about 7 years ago I think. |

Press statement from NBC (edited a bit by Dustin) John Clarke (Mickey) has officially decided to retire, effective Tuesday, January 13th. John, with his physician's urging, wants to have time to walk his dogs, travel with his wife, sing in his choir, watch his daughter on a hit TV show ( Melinda Clarke on The O.C.), and take care of his grandbaby. In an official statement, John said that "38 years in the same job is great for the ego but the health needs nourishment, too. I am going to miss everybody totally and forever... I'll be back, to have lunch now and again that is! The only person REALLY unhappy about my retirement is my wife - she likes to get me out of the house! ha ha." Richard Voigts will take over the role of Mickey Horton on February 3rd. updated John Aniston (Victor) days appear to be numbered. Though there is still no official word on his exit, everything is pointing to Victor being a goner. CDS9 has posted on Cofferooms that John Aniston's (Victor Kiriakis) last day, February 13th. This is so funny that these shows are still going after all these years. I use to be a fan of most of them some 25 years ago. Days, Another World, General Hospital, All my Children, and what else am I forgetting here? Somerset was one too. Anyone remember that one? Anyway, I thought Alice Horton died years ago. LOL In real life I mean. I know McDonald Kerry her husband on that show died, didn't he? Anyway, maybe Stepheno is the killer. He died and came back to life so many times who knows it could be.......... and now I see he's on another show just as devious as ever. I never watch them anymore since my Fridays are all filled with things to do, so I never got to watch the climax of the "wait till Monday to see what happens" It's not any fun anymore. LOL Besides like Aimee says, if you watch it once a year you can follow what's happening. Bo and Hope got married in New Orleans lots of years back and I miss it all. Let me know who the killer is you've got me interested again. No NO don't tell me I don't want to know. ROFL!!!!! Susie |

| Marlena did it ! i am convinced she is being controled by stephano though, in one of the last few shows is showed that little controlly thing with a switch. poor sammy is going to go over the edge on this one. but i am sure it will take months before they find out it is her and not that other blond,victors so called wife, can't think of here name, hmmmmm. |

I occasionally watch 'days of our lives' and 'passions', but I hate it. out of habit. it's annoying, and unreal. used to watch them every day tho, long time ago. i liked to watch 'sunset beach' before they were cancelled. I also liked 'another world'. and about 20 years ago i used to watch another soap on nbc, 'edge of darkness' maybe? anyone remember that? Adva Price

I don't remember that one, but I do remember "The Doctors", with the Mathews family!!! Oh yeah, how could we forget this one " Dark Shadows"!!! wasn't that on ABC? Did you see where Sharon Osborne will be making a gust shot on "Days" on 2/9!!!!! Guess this is her favorite soap also and jumped at the chance to do it. |

I only watched NBC, and only started in 1983 after my daughter was born, and i had that time slot to watch tv when she was asleep. then i went back to work, so i might have missed some shows.

Adva, could it have been 'The Edge of Night'? That used to come on when I was a kid(70s)...I forget when it went off the air. I remember it because we only had one TV station, and that was one of the few soaps that we saw.

the actress who plays mimi's mother used to play the sister to a shady guy named steve, who was found out to be jack's brother, and may have dated jeniffer. am i right? or am i confusing soaps and people? if i'm right, does she play the same character? so then mimi would be jeniffer's niece by marriage. ok. gonna answer my question. just went on www.coffeerooms.com board, for 'days' history. it is the same actress who played adrienne, steve/patch and jack's sister. but since now she's called bonnie, she's probly not the same character. or maybe it's an alias!? adrienne was a tough girl, bonnie is a flirt and an easy woman. oh, who knows????? (steve dated a girl named kayla, whom i don't remember) Adva Price

You're right, she did play another role. I don't think that they are smart enough to criss-cross the roles. I have also heard that this whole story line could be turned into a "dream" and that it did not really happen!!!! |

Kayla was a Brady. Adrienne Johnson married Justin Kiriakis (Victor's nephew). I doubt that they will link the her two rolls. But it could be interesting if they tried. Gina

I was searching for info on Marlena and found reference to Stephano creating 5 Marlena clones and sending them out to pretend to be her. Does anyone know anything about this? I missed a lot while we were stationed in Germany .

Seeing that it's a soap opera, and writers have changed so many times in the past years, anything is possible!!!!! For all I know I'm a Marlena clone!!!!!!
