I need a challenge! I haven't sewn anything since Christmas.
Mary do you have any in the works? Otherwise maybe we could come up with a few ideas and them vote on which one we all would like to join.

I've been working on a Lone Star or Star of Bethlehem quilt. Boy, that's a challange! It's probably one of the most difficult to do so far for me. And I'm a patchwork lover! Getting all the diamonds to match up--you think you have it right when you pin, then you look at it after it's been sewn and it's off! I know not all my diamonds will match up, but I'd like most to!
Or were you thinking of something else? What kind of sewing do you enjoy?

Patchworktiner,

I was thinking of a competition. We have different ones here on this board every so often.
Some that we have had:
Stash Challenge (see who can make the most items from their existing stash in a set amount of time)
YoYo Contest (Most creative item made from YoYos)
Tote Challenge (this was an embelishment contest I think)
and others that I can't remember.
What you are talking about is definately a challenge just not what I was thinking.

Sorry Gina. I just saw these posts. As you know, I am travelling. If you would like to start some sort of challenge, by all means let the fun begin!

One thing we talked about last fall was a challenge to make something from something else. For instance, a skirt from blue jeans, or curtains from a tablecloth.

I think doing a challenge sounds like fun. I have been coming to this forum for a while but haven't tried the challenges. These are sometimes a good way to get us motivated to get something sewn! I'll be watching for any upcoming challenges!

First let me thank Mary for fixing my account so I could post!

Also, hello to you all. I've been a member for awhile and unable to post or participate in the challenges, etc.

I'm so excited! Someone tell me what we are going to do!!!!
