Hello All,

My name is Larysa. Here is a link to my web-site "Vests, aprons & crafts".

http://paturydesign.hotusa.org/

I placed there examples made and designed by me from original home made patterns. They consist of vest, aprons, western shirts, dresses, skirts, U-shaped neck pillow and other decorative crafts.

Would you like to talk about sewing or sell?

If you want to sell, then post this on the Fabrics/Machines For Sale forum.

I just finished working on the rather complicated sewing project. It took 2 weeks for me to sew a 7 Combination Triple Vest of my own design. Really, it is not just a vest but it is a great vest wardrobe for summer consisting of 3 different length vest which can be worn separately or together in various combinations. Each vest is completely lined and can be buttoned together in any of 7 combinations. Vest consists of new materials and recycled men's ties. I made the top vest from 2 recycled men's ties. Vest's back center piece is made from a hand painted recycled pure silk man's tie. Creating a Wearable Art exhibit "Birds at Sunset". I made the mid length middle vest with violet colored zipper trim (made with zippers) instead of the regular piping.

You can see this vest here: http://paturydesign.hotusa.org/images/graphics/jpg/examples/vests/page4/7combinationtriplevest.htm

I really admire the Triple Vest and the idea of the zipper in the seams is neat too. Very nice designs!

You can see some new examples on my website.

Polka dot laced vest. Polka dots are back and fun to wear in a summer vest.

Decorative snake on pillow. Snake is made from one recycled man's tie.

Decorative scarf made from 4 matching color recycled pure silk men's ties.

I was asked to make a tutorial on how I put the stuffed snake together. So, I made a PDF file with detailed instructions and patterns on creating the stuffed snake. I added this free tutorial to my Tips & Patterns page.

Have you ever considered that small pom-poms would go very well with night gowns? The acrylic ones are soft and nice looking. Just use your imagination. I made two pink color night gowns decorated with white acrylic pom-poms of 10 mm and 5 mm sizes.

You can see the pictures of the night gowns / night dresses here:

A new example of using recycled materials. I used soft recycled denim to make a shirt for my husband. He especially likes the inner collar which is made of denim and is very comfortable to wear.

You can see this shirt here:

I made an attempt at creating a slightly different look in a women's western style shirt using an accent of hanging front pockets and yoke combined out of recycled denim.

You can see this women's western shirt here:

All you have to do to complete this blue tulle vest is sew both shoulder seams and apply a binding. No lining. What could be easier?

Hi~~ I'm sort of a NeWbie here. I am a cloth dollmaker in Colorado. I love your Birds at Sunset Vest! I sent it on to my daughter in hopes she will like it enough to attempt a sewing project of her own. She would look good in a vest like this - may I ask where you found this particular hand-painted tie? I know she wouldn't be able to do exactly the same vest.... that's Art*! Im just curious. I haven't seen any hand-painted ties in Ages!! And I'm a thrift store NuT*!!!

I got that hand painted man's tie at a garage sale, among more than 50 other old ties.
