I have just surpassed myself in making some yummy danish pastry (weinerbrod) to take to work tomorrow. the receipe came from a fellow teacher who lived in Austris for a while: Sufficient for x2 7-8" pastries Dough 250g plain flour (8oz) 100g butter/marg(3 1/2-4 oz) 25g yeast fresh is best, otherwise x2 tsps dried yeast ( just under an ounce fresh) 75mls milk (1/8 pint IMPERIAL) 2 teaspoons sugar 1 egg Filling 100g butter/marg 100g brown or white sugar 10-20 drops vanilla or almond essence 10-21 raisins or sultanas or cherries or sliced almonds or apricots or all of them! love and kisses, Jan

Magot, You are very wicked posting this when I am trying to avoid carbs but.... this looks yummy! so I will have to try them out this weekend. Out of interest oven temp? Skye I guess the dog and I just go for a longer walk |
