What does everyone do for Valentines Day. I used to bake a heart shaped cake for our kids and stick up everything they made in school on our windows.

Here is a cute wreath than can be done in all sorts of fabrics and ribbons.

I send cards and gifts to my sister for Valentines day..usually chocolate (we're chocoholics) and small things, earrings, t-shirts, etc....

I used to bake or buy things for my husband, but gave that up many years ago....he didn't care and didn't reciprocate.

I sometimes use a big cookie cutter to cut a heart into my kids' lunch sandwiches. I try to do something to mark the day, but nothing too fancy...just a little something that will hopefully make them smile.
Take care,
Donna

My most favorite thing on Valentine Day is a hug, a kiss and an "I love you" first thing in the morning and in the evening when I come home from work. My DH usually does something nice -- perfume, jewelry, clothing and , of course, always tickets to the Valentine Banquet at our church, which the young people serve to raise money for their summer mission trips. Rather than spend money on flowers, just give it to me for quilting fabric. LOL

I always make my kids Red Pop floats for Valentines Day. They look so nice when the Pop bubbles up over the Ice Cream all Pink & Fluffy. My Mom always made us a heart shaped cake. she would put cherry pie filling inbetween the layers & on top. Then frost the whole thing with whipped cream. It always made me feel so special that she would spend the time to make the day special for us. Even when we all moved out we could go to her house for cake & it would be there. I might have to make one for my family this year even though no one will eat cherries except me.

On the way home friday Tony asked if he had to go to the supermarket to get a valentines card. I had already looked and the selection was very poor so I hadn't got him one. I had bought him Terminator 3 on DVD. (He did bring me tea in bed and cook breakfast - toast, poached eggs, grilled bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms....mmmmmmmmmm) He felt so bad we went to Cambrige and bought me a necklace, I also got a new playstation game, a controller and a memory card. Who says we're kids! I like playing with Lara Croft, she's fun!

It is our groups turn to host the coffee at church tomorrow so we are decking out the table with red balloons, candles, heart shaped biscuits, love hearts, red heart chocolates and , of course, red flowers! we like making a splash!
love and kisses, Jan

I got all my Grands a cute soft teddy bear holding a heart and a candy tube filled with red and white M&M's. I got my hubby a Hershey's Pot of Gold Red heart shaped box of candy and a card. He took me out to eat and shopping for a new pair of slippers for the hospital Tuesday, I didn't want any candy I'm trying my best to be good.

Happy Valentines Day!!!!!!!!!! Everyone
