Hello, I'm new to these boards and hoping I can get some help. I'm searching for chiffon fabric that has pleats in it-preferrably black. (not crinkled but pleated). Does this even exist or will I have to pleat the fabric myself? If I have to do it myself, is it even possible to do? I know you can pleat certain types of fabric but I'm not sure about chiffon. Thanks! |

Hi Jupiter, welcome to Sew Whats New. Why not google it, type pleated chiffon into your search window and see what happens. You know there are pleaters out there to make your own pleated fabric, but I think it might be difficult. MaryW

I tried my sources and they have nothing either. You might have to visit the thrift stores, maybe a pleated chiffon dress or skirt will show up. Your only other alternative is to pleat it yourself. MaryW

Good idea about looking around in a thrift store. I think I will try that. Thanks! |
