Hello,

I'm new to these boards and hoping I can get some help.

I'm searching for chiffon fabric that has pleats in it-preferrably black. (not crinkled but pleated). Does this even exist or will I have to pleat the fabric myself? If I have to do it myself, is it even possible to do? I know you can pleat certain types of fabric but I'm not sure about chiffon.

Thanks!

Hi Jupiter, welcome to Sew Whats New. :bluesmile

Why not google it, type pleated chiffon into your search window and see what happens. You know there are pleaters out there to make your own pleated fabric, but I think it might be difficult.

I tried my sources and they have nothing either. :bluesad:

You might have to visit the thrift stores, maybe a pleated chiffon dress or skirt will show up.
Your only other alternative is to pleat it yourself.

Good idea about looking around in a thrift store. I think I will try that. Thanks!
