I am considering placing an ad on several on line boards offering my services to complete tops. I've already done a few where I sew them together with their sashing and borders, etc. Those of you who do this, please email me directly with any advice you have to share, especially on figuring the cost. Please, do not use the private mesasage board. Thank you.

Could we have some of us post the answers to this board? I think this is a subject many of us would be interested in.

I'm sure there will be those who are very interested in this sort of service. I have heard a lot of ladies moan about having tops sewn but never quilted.

I'm looking for advice concerning the completion of the tops only, not in the quilting. BUT, I too am intersted in the cost of all areas. One lady posted me direct and said that their guild charges $6.00 per square foot to hand quilt for others. This is for only simple quilting, no intricate details. They also charge $50.00 extra for lap quilts and $100.00 extra for twin/queen to sew the tops together. I would think that geography would have a lot to do with pricing also. I don't want to over charge, nor do I wish do sell my services short either.

I have added a new forum to add your business listing. It is a sub-topic of the business forum.
