I don't know what to do. I am working with a very stretchy knit. I don't know all the knit terminology so I can't tell you what kind of a knit. It is stretchy going across the fabric. It kinda has ribs and it is stripes. Anyway, I did the top and when I hemmed it, it is wavy. I don't want the skirt to come out the same way, what can I do? I am using a walking foot, I used a narrow double needle, and hand wound some whooly nylon on my bobbin. What else can I try?
Thank-you,
Jolene

Try washing and drying it to see if it will shrink back on its own. If not try steaming it with the iron held just slightly above the fabric so you don't flatten it, and scrunching it back into shape with your hands. Probably it just got stretched out of shape going through the machine and under the foot. Did you use a stitch for stretch so it can shrink with the fabric?
