Have we heard from Susie (Mother-in-Law) since her surgery. Are you out there? How did it go?

Here I am. I've been trying to get on the computer the last two days on and off. The eye that was operated on is very sore and light hurts it so I have to keep my computer using down. The new eye is great. It's like seeing out of a dirty windshield and when I had the surgery now I'm looking out of a clean windshield. It's hard to explain but anyway I'm doing great now. The first 6 hours after surgery was the worse for me. My pressure bottomed out on the table, who knows why I had high pressure when I got to the hospital that morning. (160/102 something like that) When I came home I had a headache that felt like my head was going to explode at the base of my neck and in the front of my forehead. The doctor said very rarely some people get pressure behind the eye after surgery and I guess I was one of them. I put an ice pack on my head and neck and it subsided. I have been taking it easy and it's getting boring doing this, I want to sew. I never thought I'd say this but I'm ready to clean house, fold clothes and clean out my sewing room. I have to work quick because he's doing the other eye soon. Probably week after next. I didn't relize how bad the other eye was until I can see out the one that was fixed. BIG improvement. :bg:

Thanks for asking DorothyL. Everyone on this board has been so nice and compassionate. You people are Great!!!!!

Hugs and Love Susie

Well don't over do it cleaning house -- but if you get that same urge after the other one you can visit me. You don't even have to bring an ice pack -- the whole world outside my door is an ice pack.

LOL That's a shame Dorothy it's been close to 70 here for the last couple of days, at least that's what they tell me. I called my brother yesterday and he told me, "Isn't it a beautiful day?" I told him I don't know I've been locked up in this dungeon for the last 3 days scared to peek out. LOL Now I know how a vampire must feel like. LOL I'm going out today. Hubby is taking me out to eat at our favorite catfish house this evening. It's an hour trip there and back so I'll have a nice little outing.

Hugs Susie
