Don't you buy your own patterns for sewing ??? They have recommendations at the bottom of the page for patterns to buy.

Beth ... watch for pattern sales at Hancock Fabrics and JoAnn's. Often you can get one for only $1.99. However, you must first take your measurements so that you will know which size pattern to buy. I would start with a simple elastic skirt if you don't have a pattern. Measure your waist and your hips. Buy about 1 yard of an inexpensive knit fabric. Using a ruler, trace an A-line about 2 inches larger than your measurements. Cut the skirt and then sew each side. Now, measure a 1 inch wide piece of elastic about 2 inches shorter than your waist measurement. Sew it together using a zigzag stitch. About 1inch down from the top of your skirt, pin the elastic (front, back and each side). Now fold over the top of your skirt until it is below your elastic, this forms a casing. Stitch the casing down being careful not to catch the elastic. Now, turn the bottom up about 1 1/2 inches. Stitch it on the machine. Don't worry if your seams are not straight. This is a good way to practice making a garment. It takes a lot of practice so don't give up. Happy Stitching! Marty in TN
It takes one moment to change a life.
