Hi All.

I am looking for a pattern for a doo-rag / the motorcycle style bandana head wraps.
I've searched all the current books at Jo-Anns and Wal-Mart (sorry to say the only local fabric stores available to me)
A friend said she had a pattern for these quite a few years ago, but does not remember who made the pattern. I'm looking for the child and adult size pattern.

So if someone has any helpful knowledge where I might find it, it would be greatly appericated.

P.S. I've already searched e-bay, and couldn't find any there either.

Blessings & Thanks,
Christa

I found some free patterns on the internet. I think they are adult sizes, but perhaps you can 'size down' the patterns.

If you do a search on Google, you will probably find more. Use something like 'doo rag pattern' as your search topic.
Take care,
Donna

I bought McCall's P234 a couple of years ago, don't no for sure if it's still available or not. If you can't find it maybe I could supply you with one by snail mail.

dmoses,
Thanks so much for the pattern. I've already used the pattern from the first link you sent and it was huge. I tried re sizing the pattern but it just didin't look / fit right. (I'm a novice sew-er:-)
The second link is a new one that I did not come across when searching. I will give it a try.

woodywoodpecker,
Thanks to you also. If the downloaded pattern does not work out, I will definately take you up on your ever so kind offer for the small pattern.
Did you make anyof these from the McCalls pattern ? If so how did they / it turn out?

Thanks again to you both , I Love this site.
Blessings,
Christa

Yes I did make some. The pattern was in the boys section so I made a large for an adult and it was a little big so just taped a dart in the pattern pieces before I cut the next ones out and they fit alot better.

Just found a great web site and downloaded it for free. All you do after you have completed the download is fill it what you want to make from thier list-several styles of hats included-then give the measurements and the program gives you a printable patteren. http:/www.wildginger.com :monkey:
