Hi, I am making a 2 sided baby blanket-1 side flannel the other side cotton. What do I do to keep the sides toghther? I'm not sure that sounds right-I know how to put the 2 together around the sides. What I am worried abbout is how to keep them from coming apart in the middle. Is there someway to keep the middle together ? I hope that makes sense. Thanks, Kim |

There may be a fusible webbing that is thin and flexible enough. Otherwise you will need to do some kind of quilting technique, either stitching straight lines, or a design, or tying the layers together. |

You can tie the layers together. I am so surprised no one answered you before now. Take crochet cotton, embroidery floss or wool and tie a knot thru all 3 layers. Any more questions or problems, just ask. MaryW

I am so sorry I didn't find this sooner I was out of town. I make double sided baby blankets all the time with cotton/flannel. I never have needed to tye them. I just sew them around the outside, right sides together, leaving a gap to turn it. Then I turn it and topstitch around the outside. The fabric just stays together naturally. Sher My website

Sher Yes, this is the way I do it too. The fuzziness of the flannel just sort of "velcros" everything together. Shelly

After I read the post I made another blanket and sure enough the sides stayed together with no help at all. I'm sure I will have questions about something else soon !! Kim |

I make these all the time too and I either do the floss thingy or block stitch them togather. |
