A few years ago I saw some regular sweatshirts that had separate fabric sewed to the underside of it, then zigzag around a design and the sweatshirt material cut out. Then they were cut down the front and edged with either fabric or some kind of edging. They made a really sharp looking jacket. Anyone know of a book or pattern to buy to make these? Thanks |

Hi mtcatlady, Mary Mulari (I hope I spelled her name right) has a book on how to turn sweatshirts into sweaters. She was on Sewing With Nancy episode. And I'm pretty sure she has her own website. And also check out Nancy's Notions website for the book. I hope thsi helps out. |

No need for a pattern: check out this page 1. for concise instructions go to www.sewing.com Enter "Sue Yeager" in the search engine. The instructions come up under the title: CONVERT A SWEATSHIRT INTO A CARDIGAN. 2. For clear photos, go to this page as listed: Make a Sweatshirt Jacket http://www.geocities.com/FashionAvenue/3824/sweatjacket.html |
