I'm using one eye tonight as I have the other one patched. All went well today. Just a little uncomfortable, my pressure did go up, but all in all I was fine. ( the valium in the drip made that stablize quick) LOL I didn't get the big headache I got the last time so that was really a plus this time. I came home and went straight to bed didn't eat anything until 5:00PM this evening so that might have helped also. I ate as soon as I got home last time and the chewing using the muscles in my face may have built up pressure behind my eye. Maybe so maybe not just a theory I had. It feels like I have something in that eye tonight but I'm sure it's the wound healing. I'll report in tomorrow after a good nites sleep. I have to go to the doctors in the early morning just to get it checked. But the best news is ..............NO MORE CATERACS YEAH!!!!!!!

Such good news Susie. You will never regret having screwed up the courage to go through with both operations now that you can see so well. . Spring is going to look so wonderful to you.
Best Wishes,
Lise

Thanks everyone. I guess one eye has to get use to the other eye being okay now I'm having problems focusing with both eyes fixed, but I'm sure it's just an adjustment. It feels funny not having to sit right on top of the computer screen to see it. I'm actually about a 1 ½ or 2 away from it and can see great. Baby blankets and baby clothes here I come. I have plenty of angels up there looking after me. Lots of good things have been coming to me. There up there alright.

Jan you are so funny. You always make me laugh. LOL I ate some soup, chicken noodle out the can. My hubby fixed it for me which made it sweeter than I could have fixed it myself. He's such a sweet thing.

His pressure has been sky high for the last few weeks and I finally talked him into going to the doctors for it Monday. Doc gave him some BP Pills and it's down to normal now. I worry about this man he never goes to see about hisself until its' almost to the crisis point. His pressure was 200/104 when he finally agreed to make the appointment.

My eye is stinging me so I'm out of here until later.

Good Morning Susie,
How is your "new" eye this morning? Isn't it marvellous what they can do nowadays ? Not so very long ago we would just have had to accept that our vision was diminishing and that nothing could be be done about it.
Are the Spring flowers out yet where you are? You'll be amazed at how bright the colours will seem. Up here (Quebec, Canada) it's snowing but we're getting there....won't be long till we too see the crocuses peeping through.
Keep us posted about your progress.
Lise

Hi Lise,

No the spring flowers are not blooming here yet but it won't be long. Just watching the TV is an experience for me. The colors are so vivid. My poor dear late Mother had caterac surgery at the age of 42 and back then they had to remove the lens and she had to wear, what we call coke bottle glasses, or hard contact lens to see, without them she was legally blind. In October 2002 she had the lens implant put in her eyes like they are doing now and she could see finally without those glasses or contacts. Poor thing by then she was 74 years old. She died May 2003. So just 7 months is all she had without having to wake up every morning and do a ritual of "putting in her eyes" as she use to say. She also said when they were finished she didn't relize all the wrinkles she had in her face. LOL She was a pepper.

I'm trying to relax my eyes some but I'm anxious to get back to my sewing. I have a thousand things I want to do, starting with my quilt block for the Hunt and the new baby things I want to sew. In a few weeks the trees will start to bud out and we will know winter is finally over here. Usually we go from winter straight to summer. Not much sping to talk about. Here it was in the 80's F yesterday and it will be close to the same today.

Thanks for being so concerned for me. Everyone here is so nice and thoughtful. We have a great group of people here, I'm so glad I found you all.

Thanks Allie,

I went out this evening for dinner with my hubby and I told him everything looks like it's in 3 D now for some reason. My vision must have been so bad. LOL Thanks again.

hey Lise, I'm doing great all except for my computer. My ISP's mail is messed up and I can't recieve mail. I recieved a letter from them and when I opened it, it was not from them and it had a virus in the mail. I ran the virus scan on my computer and it's gone now but now all the mail servers are down and I'm having to get my mail off the website of the ISP. It's a bunch of bull if you ask me. But my eyes are fine and I love the way I can see everything now. I didn't relize how bad they were until I got them done. Everything looks like it's in 3 D now.
