Please help with this if you can, thanks. The thread is clumping on the bobbin when I try to fill it,, is the bobbin supposed to be placed a certain way on the top of the machine? how is the bobbin threaded? thanks for any help you can give. Smyle MaryW

hhmmmm....you didn't say what kind of machine you use....but here goes... have you put the thread THROUGH the tension disc's, BEFORE you put the thread onto the bobbin ??? some have holes, you put the thread through the hole and I like to hold it taunt, start it up and let it spin a few times to make sure it's catching, then stop, snip the thread tail on top and proceed to fill the bobbin.... some of the old Singers threaded the bobbin INSIDE the bobbin case...if thats the case, then you have to make sure the bobbin is placed correctly INTO the case and make sure the top thread is correctly threaded throughout the machine... making sure the thread is through the tension disc's is probably the most common problem... (I know it is with me.... ) Chrys

Please check your manual carefully to be sure you are doing every detail of the process. It sounds like the bobbin is not secured in place and might be lifting up or wiggling around as it is filling. |

check to make sure that you have the thread in the right tension disc. Sounds to me like it's not. |
