Has anyone been watching the special on NBC about Princess Diana, and the tapes she "gave" Andrew Morton?
If so, what is your view on the show?

I just saw part two tonight. Didn't see part one. Many things are hidden behind closed doors. I just think it must of been hard for her to come out into the open. The one thing I have learned yrs ago is that no matter how rich or what position in life you have, you will not be immune to problems. I honestly feel she was crying for love. Don't we all.

I wish they would think of her boys before they put that stuff in the public eye.

I haven't watched it for one good reason - I believe it's time they let her rest in peace!

Well one good thing did come out of all this with Di. She showed the public that the Royal's are just as human as everyone else. I think she bridged a lot of gaps. And her sons taking their postions will be better for that fact.

What a sad life! Makes me glad I didn't get my childhood wish: To grow up and be a princess....I'll have to remember that when I brush the toilets (at home). I can remember thinking that my background was English...surely someone would come from the blue, announce that I was royalty and take me to Buckingham Castle. I wouldn't want to live that kind of existance now for anything.

paroper,

I think many of us have had that same dream growing up. I know I did. What is even funnier about it, IS, I am very, very, very distantly realted to the Royal Family. The Viscount of Roxbourgh is something like 23rd in line to the throne and my family is like 9 generations away from that line.
As long as my DH treats me like a Queen what else matters!!!!

My father told me that all girls are princesses.

I have not watched because I also think they need to let her rest in peace. How painful to keep dredging up lives of people that can not defend them selves.
The more you disaprove, the more fun I am having!
