My daughter and her fiance gave us a ten gallon fish tank last week. Well we set it up and now have 17 fish in it, all fresh water. Saturday evening I was sitting at my computer and kept hearing one of the cats, "cat talking", but I couldn't find it anywhere. Well I went back to what I was doing on the computer, BUT the next time I heard it I just happened to look in the direction of the fish tank. Here standing on the dinning room chair in front of the buffet, with one paw on the buffet and the other up on the front glass of the fish tank, gently tapping it was my oldest cat "Minnie". She was talking to the fish and then would turn and talk to me. Now the other four cats have each taken their turn at watching "Kitty TV' when I feed the fish. None of them have tried to get into the tank, there is a lid on it. My female siamese was the most curious when we added more fish, wanting to see what was in the bag and watch me put them in the tank. I was lucky enough to get a picture of her at the tank with her paw on it. Oh yeah, while I think of it... DH and I were coming home from WalMart last week and we passed a cape cod style house only to see a white cat laying on the peak of the roof watching traffic!!!! I wish I had had my camera with me then. I just had to laugh with that one!!!! |

I use to have a goldfish bowl that the cats use to sit and watch then they would dip their paws in it, then they went in deeper so I had to get a lid for it. It was amazing that the fish didn't die from fright having this thing come at it. We saw the paw dipping but had to clean up the leg dipping. Cat and around the bowl. We use to have a bird watching show on PBS that the cats would sit down in front of the TV and watch every move. They too would do their kitty talk. Lots of fun to watch. Brockie

I used to have a cat who loved to drink from the fish bowl. She knew there was a fish in there and she liked to watch it, but she never stuck her paw in the water. |

When our furballs sit and look out the window, we say they're watching "Cat TV." Our baby kitten is enamored with a certain battle scene in Star Wars Attack of the CLones. It happens when a bunch of blue orbs roll of the back of a truck. She is mesmerized. We roll it back and let her watch it over and over. She also likes to attack the computer screen cursor. If you move it off the screen, she goes behind the monitor looking for it. By the way, my two female cats love to be in my sewing room. They get agitated if the male cat--or my husband--come in. They don't mind DD. Guess they've decided it's a tesosterone-free zone. I say our cats are more entertaining than cable TV. Hubby says they're just as expensive! Shelly Moon

Shelly, one of my cats does that with the computer. I have to really watch her in the sewing room. She likes to eat thread. The last time I found her with a small piece of thread hanging out of her mouth and when I pulled it, it kept coming out for about 2 yards while she gagged. Ewwwwww! I got a new computer desk a while back. The cheap WalMart type with the little plastic things that cover the screws. Well she's pulled off all of those little plastic things now. |

Don't they do the craziest things? Mine like my sewing room and are surprising good, as long as I keep a bit of fleece fabric on the bed for them to lay on. I do have one who likes to play with the thread. the worst she's done is pull at one on the thread rack. she kept pulling until she was in another part of the house. I just followed the thread and cut it off. Mine are worth the trouble. THey're all affectionate Shelly Moon

My littlest terror tries to pull the electric cords out of the sockets. For a while I was wondering why my serger would stop for no reason. She's a little pest but it's part of her charm. My big one does everything the little one does ... and more. They are so entertaining. |
