Here is something I never knew existed. A knitting board, I think this would be excellent for kids learning to knit.

I was in high school when I first learned how to knit. The thing back then was we were all making baby booties to hand on the mirror of the cars of the boys we would date. They were cute and I had one of every color. I had orders for them coming out my locker. Oh boy those were the days.
